A Simulation Model for Generating Time Variant Gamma-Shadowed Ricean Fading Samples
When in the mobile radio channel there are simultaneous variations of the EM field due to multipath propagation and the shadowing effect, then the fluctuations of the composite signal envelope can be described using the Gamma shadowed Ricean distribution. For a precise analysis of the transmission of information through the radio channel, it is necessary to have a simulation model that takes into account the second order characteristics of this process. In this paper, we provide an approach for generating random process whose instantaneous values have the so-called Gamma-shadowed Ricean distribution. We present the time forms of the generated process, probability density function and autocovariance functions, and draw appropriate conclusions regarding the aforementioned characteristics.
