Open-Source Software for Microwave Ablation Analysis

In this paper, we use a full 3D finite element method for microwave ablation simulation based on open-source software. A real large tumor taken from the database is used and two probes are used for treatment. The effects of using power control and changing the size and shape of the ablation with the same applied energy are shown.

Abstract

In this paper, we use a full 3D finite element method for microwave ablation simulation based on open-source software. A real large tumor taken from the database is used and two probes are used for treatment. The effects of using power control and changing the size and shape of the ablation with the same applied energy are shown.
