Efectividad de las políticas públicas contra el mobbing laboral en la República Dominicana
This study addresses the issue of workplace mobbing in the Dominican Republic, a practice that significantly impacts workers' mental health, productivity, and work environment. In response to this situation, there is a need to evaluate the effectiveness of public policies implemented to prevent and mitigate workplace harassment. The general objective of the study was to analyze the efficacy of public policies in managing workplace mobbing, identifying weaknesses and strengths in their implementation. To this end, a systematic review was conducted following the PRISMA protocol, ensuring a rigorous and transparent approach. The initial search included 230 records from databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, Dialnet, Latindex, and Redalyc, considering publications from 1996 to 2021 in Spanish and English. After applying inclusion criteria based on thematic relevance, language, and methodology, 15 articles were selected for analysis. The results highlight that current public policies show strengths in raising awareness of the problem but weaknesses in effective implementation due to regulatory gaps, insufficient resources, and limited adaptation to the Dominican sociocultural context. Although advances in legislation were identified, there remains a need for clearer protocols and effective monitoring mechanisms. In conclusion, the study suggests a comprehensive approach that includes training, institutional strengthening, and regulatory adaptation. This approach would improve the prevention of workplace mobbing, mitigate its effects, and promote healthier and more productive work environments.
