Value priorities in the linguistic perception and discursive practices of Donbas during the military conflict

The article considers the dynamically developing value segment of the “language of war” in Donbas. The relevance of this axiological study is connected with the necessity of dictionary fixation and linguocultural qualification of words and phrases activating in everyday communication, which influences the change of the linguistic world-image and the emergence of a new regional linguistic personality, its sub-ethnic identity. The specific cluster of regional discursive practices serving the realities of military events in Donbas is analyzed from the point of view of traditional and changing value priorities. Tropeization, strengthening of subjective-evaluative, connotative component in the meanings of previously neutral words and expressions, axiological dissimilation of nominatem along the line “us – them” are revealed. The regional linguistic personality of Donbass is characterized as a producer and manifestor of new value orientations. The main array of axiologically loaded units of the Donetsk regional dialect has been systematized. It was found that the lexical-semantic field of the priority value of Donbas labor, embodied in a number of paremi and slogans, has expanded. This expansion occurred due to the changed social and economic conditions of life in the region. The special function of such phenomena as creativization of speech and language play with words is noted.
