The financial market has undergone a radical transformation. Investing money has become an extremely difficult endeavor due to the proliferation of savings and investment firms and the products they offer, the terms and conditions of investment, and the prevalence of complex regulations. It has been discovered that the majority of investors, especially those in rural areas, are ignorant of investment opportunities and regulations. Despite notable economic expansion and rising per capita income, the rate of savings mobilization in India remains comparatively sluggish. There is inadequate mobilization and investment of rural savings. Investment is a form of economic activity that generates the necessary capital for diverse sectors of the economy. Therefore, every individual with a source of income should be incentivized to save and invest. The purpose of the study was to determine whether rural investors in the district of Ahmednagar were cognizant of the various investment opportunities available to them, as well as their investment criteria and preferences. A sample of 300 respondents from the Ahmednagar district was selected.
