Role Of Patient Engagement In Enhancing Hospital Service Quality
In today's healthcare landscape, ensuring that patients are actively involved in their own care is more important than ever. This study delves into how engaging patients in their treatment can lead to better hospital services, using a sophisticated analysis method known as Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Our research uncovers that simply involving patients in their treatment isn't enough to boost their satisfaction directly. Instead, the quality of the hospital environment and the competence and behavior of the staff play significant roles in making patients feel satisfied with their care. Additionally, when patients are satisfied, they tend to have better health outcomes, highlighting the need for hospitals to create a supportive and welcoming atmosphere. We also examine the hurdles that prevent effective patient engagement and how hospitals currently use patient feedback to improve services. By understanding these barriers and feedback mechanisms, we can better address the challenges that hinder patient involvement. This study offers practical recommendations for hospitals to enhance patient engagement, suggesting strategies for staff training and facility improvements. Our goal is to help healthcare providers and administrators integrate patient involvement into their quality improvement efforts, ultimately leading to better care and healthier outcomes for patients. By shedding light on the factors that truly impact patient satisfaction and health outcomes, this research aims to contribute to the ongoing mission of improving healthcare delivery and making a positive difference in patients' lives.
