RELATIVE EFFECTIVENESS OF CONSTRUCTIVIST APPROACH AND TRADITIONAL APPROACH ON LEARNING OUTCOMES OF SCIENCE AT SCHOOL LEVEL
Constructivism promotes an epistemology that focuses on the process of knowing rather than the accumulation of knowledge itself. It is a theory that explains how humans learn and make meaning of the world. Constructivist education claims to not only full practical educational needs but also push the limits of teaching, learning, and knowledge to enhance education at various levels. The constructivist approach serves as a method for achieving educational goals effectively. This approach allows for the development of various strategies and tactics aimed at specic learning outcomes. Additionally, it can foster educational innovation by exploring new methods, resources, and tools to address educational challenges. In this study, a sample of 120 students, both boys and girls, from a government school in Sagar city, were selected for analysis. This research demonstrated that the intervention implemented with the experimental group successfully enhanced their science performance. Intervention given through constructivist approach shows better results in achievement test as compared to traditional approach.
