Biofortification of zinc, iron, arbuscular mycorrhiza and Trichoderma on quality parameters and available soil nutrient status in soil of maize

A field experiment was conducted during rabi seasons of 2021 and 2022 at Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari to study the “Biofortification of zinc, iron, arbuscular mycorrhiza and trichoderma on quality parameters available soil nutrient status in soil of maize”. The experiment was carried out in randomized block design with factorial concept and replicated three times. The experiment comprised with treatments of soil application of Zn and Fe and seed treatments of bioinoculants namely, S1: Control, S2: ZnSO4 at 15 kg/ha, S3: ZnSO4 at 30 kg/ha, S4: FeSO4 at 15 kg/ha, S5: FeSO4 at 30 kg/ha, S6: ZnSO4 + FeSO4 at 15 kg/ha, S7: ZnSO4 + FeSO4 at 30 kg/ha and B1: Control, B2: Arbuscular mycorrhiza, B3: Trichoderma, B4: Arbuscular mycorrhiza + Trichoderma. Experimental finding reported that, among the various levels of Zn and Fe, soil application of ZnSO4 + FeSO4 at 30 kg/ha recorded significantly higher protein yield. While, significantly lowest protein yield was observed under control. With respect to bioinoculants seed treatments, higher protein yield was found significantly higher under application of Arbuscular mycorrhiza +Trichoderma. Soil application of Zn and Fe and bioinoculants seed treatments had no significant impact on protein content, available nutrient status in soil at harvest like N, K2O, Zn and Fe except P2O5.
