Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor for EV Applications
The paper presents a new model of a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) in a rotor reference frame that rotates with the rotor. This model uses Clarke and Park transformations to simplify the representation of the PMSM, which facilitates the understanding of its mechanical and electromagnetic behavior. The model is affected by the movement of the rotor, the stator windings and the effect of permanent magnets on the system. It captures the key dynamics and creates a set of differential equations that explain how the engine works in the rotating frame. The team used MATLAB software to run detailed simulations. They compared the results with real data to demonstrate the accuracy and usefulness of the model. This development will help improve control strategies for PMSMs and provide engineers and researchers with a valuable tool to increase accuracy and efficiency in engine applications. This research is making important advances in this field, providing key information to create better and more accurate motor control systems.
