Methodological Proposal for the Use of Digital Twins in Remote Engineering Education
Virtual education and the development of practical experiences of virtual laboratories are gaining more and more importance and acceptance in education programs, having been emphasized in the post-pandemic stage, facing this new scenario it is required to create methods that strengthen learning in remote classes. To achieve this, the use of digital twins in the mixed reality modality is proposed, to generate an interactive virtual laboratory that promotes experimentation to improve the teaching process. For this proposal we will use as an example the digital twin of a pilot plant of green hydrogen generation, the digital twin will be designed and implemented using current technologies such as the internet of things (IoT), free software (Linux), and the Unity platform in which we will create the mobile application that will generate the virtual image.
