Copyright Licensing in Game Streaming and Real-Time Compliance Protocol

Game broadcasting serves as a promotional channel for the gaming industry and acts as an opportunity to discover new consumer groups. However, the process of streaming game videos brings along issues such as compliance with copyright conditions and the prevention of story spoilers. In particular, story-driven games may cause potential buyers to lose interest due to the exposure of spoilers, which is a significant issue that can lead to decreased game sales and reduced creative motivation among developers. To overcome these challenges, this paper presents a new technology that combines a real-time compliance protocol with a Personal Data Storage (PDS)-based electronic contract management system.Through this technical approach, various conditions required by copyright holders can be monitored and automatically complied with in real time.Additionally, by providing functionality that prevents broadcasters from unintentionally violating usage permissions through mistakes, unnecessary copyright infringements are avoided for broadcasters. This allows broadcasters to focus more on creative activities, enables copyright holders to achieve their core goals of protecting content and securing sales, and activates the game broadcasting ecosystem. This paper contributes to the sustainable growth and balanced development of the game broadcasting market through a real-time compliance protocol based on PDS and the execution of electronic contracts.Through this, the future game broadcasting ecosystem can move beyond mere content supply to comprehensively meet complex objectives such as rights protection, enhancing user experience, and ensuring stable revenue generation.
