A Feature Extraction Method of Underwater Targets
In this paper, echo highlight information of the targets is thoroughly explored for underwater target classification. The mathematical representations of both the intensity distribution feature and spatial structure feature of highlights are extracted based on the physical characteristics of targets. A fusion feature based on the statistical information of highlights is proposed to enhance the effectiveness of target classification. Experimental results demonstrate that the fusion feature of highlights plays an important role in promoting the classification of targets.
