Secondary calibration using Gabrielsons method & COPA with background noise at a laboratory facility

Traceability to the SI from primary transfer standard measurement at metrology institute to in-field measurements, is possible by performing direct comparison according to ISO16063-21 to a transfer reference standard device, calibrated at a metrology institute according to ISO 16063-11. It is also possible, especially for larger metrology organizations, to disseminate traceability when setting up suitable number of secondary calibration facilities. This may especially prove relevant to consider where in-field uptime needs to be optimized, transfer standard stability during general transport is critical and metrology system measurements are time consuming due to long measurement time and thereby a quite significant expense.
