EVALUASI KESESUAIAN LAHAN PADA TANAMAN PADI (Oriza sativa L.) DI KECAMATAN GANTARANG KABUPATEN BULUKUMBA

This study aims to determine the actual and potential land suitability of rice (Oriza Zativa L.) and limiting factors for rice (Oriza Zativa L.), with efforts to improve land for rice plants in Gantarang District, Bulukumba Regency. The research method used is the FAO method. The limiting factors are based on land characteristics with the stages of data collection, making work maps, field surveys, sampling, analysis of soil samples, and data interpretation. The results of the analysis of actual and potential land suitability in Gantarang District, Bulukumba Regency on land unit 6 are marginally appropriate (S3n) with available nutrient limiting factors (P2O5) with efforts to improve P fertilization. The results of actual land suitability are quite suitable (S2) to very suitable potential (S1) consisting of root media, namely drainage category S2r, improvement efforts that can be made are repairs to the drainage system, texture with repair efforts generally cannot be repaired and effective depth with efforts to improve land management in rocky and soft soil layers. The limiting factors for available nutrients are total N, P2O5 and K2O in the category of S2n that can be repaired. N, P, and K fertilization was carried out. The limiting factor for erosion hazard was category S2e with the type of effort to improve soil and water conservation and planting parallel to the contour.
