Reverse engineering modeling of jet turbine engine blade ring palisade geometry
When designing small turbine jet engines for UAVs, the theory of geometric similarity of components made at different scales can be used. This allows determining how an engine component designed at a macro scale can be recreated at a micro scale. The idea of the process of modeling the palisade of turbine blade rings of a UAV jet engine together with its rotor and nozzle blades, based on reverse engineering, is presented. The methodology for reproducing the geometry of turbine blade rings together with their rotor and nozzle blades of a turbine jet engine is presented. The tools for removing the geometry of turbine blade rings and their rotor and nozzle blades are characterized. The model creation algorithm was built for the Siemens NX system. The effect of model construction is presented in the form of a 3D printout of turbine blade rings and their rotor and nozzle blades. Reverse engineering allows for reproducing turbine components of jet engines at a macro scale and modeling their geometry at a micro scale. The proposed reverse engineering process can be successfully used to reconstruct turbine components of jet engines with even very complex shapes. The digital model obtained as a result of scanning was used for geometry modeling, but it can be successfully used for other analyses, studies or calculations, including modeling physical phenomena.
