GP-LV missile model: Application in design of guidance systems
This work presents a nonlinear fully coupled 3D missile model. The model is described in NED (North East Down) coordinate configuration related to the global position of ground observer and body velocity coordinate system creating the GP-LV (Global Position – Local Velocity) model. Moreover, a proposition of the missile autopilot model is presented as an most important part of described control system with demanded acceleration obtained from a guidance system. The developed model of the missile and the control subsystems are used in a guidance system with a proportional navigation technique to perform simulation tests. The results are compared with results of other works to check and proof the usefulness of developed model and autopilot subsystem. The obtained results and comparisons are presented in the paper.
