EMPOWERING ARABIC VOCABULARY LEARNING THROUGH VARIOUS TYPES OF LANGUAGE TASK
Arabic education has now undergone a transition from a teacher-centered approach to a student-centered approach. A task-based approach is one of the most effective methods that can be used to promote self-learning and language use in real-life contexts in the classroom, as well as have a positive effect on the individual's language mastery. However, issues such as weak vocabulary mastery, limited learning in the classroom, high dependence on teacher instructions are still found in the Arabic vocabularies learning, even discussion of task approaches in Arabic vocabulary in Malaysia is still not widespread. Therefore, this literature study in the form of content analysis focuses on language task that include discussions on the concept, framework and type of language tasks and their implications for learning Arabic vocabulary. The findings of this study are expected to have theoretical and practical implications in education as well as suggestions for conducting future research.
