A time-frequency transmission method based on low-voltage power-line carrier communication
Focused on the precise time and frequency synchronization requirements for power grids, a high-precision, low-cost time and frequency synchronization technology based on low-voltage power line carrier communication is proposed in this paper. Different roles are defined in a master-slave topology network, the master clock, boundary clock, and slave clock. 1PPS(Pulse Per Second)and ToD(Time of Day) signals are transmitted between the nodes, and the time and frequency of the slave nodes are corrected in conjunction with the IEEE 1588 protocol, thereby achieving accurate consistency in time and frequency across all nodes. A miniaturized, low-power time-frequency synchronization module suitable for the electric power field has been developed and subjected to system simulation and laboratory testing. The experimental results indicate that with stable communication conditions, the time synchronization accuracy through power line carrier communication can be better than 15 microseconds, and the frequency synchronization accuracy can be better than 0.1 ppm.
