[Foreword] Welcome to the Special Section on Technologies for Post-COVID 3D Media

This special section has been proposed and edited by the technical group on 3D media technologies (3DMT) of the Institute of Image Information and Television Engineers (ITE), covering 3D visual, auditory, and other related technologies, including 3D visual displays, 3D audio systems, 3D video and audio capturing, 3D data coding, 3D data recording, 3D data transmission, 3D media processing, 3D content technologies, applications of 3D media, and human factors related to 3D media.This is the third special section organized by the 3DMT technical group, starting in 2023 and published annually thereafter.This year's special section focuses on 3D visual, auditory, and other related technologies that can be applied in the Post-COVID era.
