The University Curriculum, A Management Tool For Professional Training and A Component For the Accreditation of the Professional Schools of The Universidad Nacional Del Altiplano, Puno 2015-2019
Objective: The study analyzes the university curriculum model of UNA Puno as a management tool for professional training and a key component for the accreditation of professional schools during the period 2015-2019. Theoretical Framework: The curriculum is examined under a socio-critical and constructivist approach, considering some of the quality standards established by SINEACE and SUNEDU Peru. Method: A mixed approach was adopted with Likert questionnaires applied to 33 principals of professional schools and documentary analysis. Results and Discussion: The results show strengths in the alignment of the curriculum of the professional schools of UNA Puno with labor competencies, but also analyze weaknesses in its implementation, particularly in didactic strategies and continuous evaluation. The implications of the flexible competency-based curriculum for improving university educational quality are discussed. Implications: The study highlights the need to strengthen teacher training and promote greater integration between the components of the study curriculum with the demands of the regional labor market. Originality/value: The research contributes to the debate on curriculum management in Peruvian public universities, providing a basis for future improvements and evaluations.
