Earth-Based Radar Imaging Technology of the Moon Based on Minimum Entropy Autofocus Algorithm
Ground-based radar moon imaging technology is the application of synthetic aperture technology to astronomical exploration, which is used to observe the terrain characteristics and resource distribution of the lunar surface. It mainly uses the polar coordinate imaging algorithm(PFA) to achieve long-term high-resolution imaging of the lunar surface. However, the non-ideal motion of the moon relative to the Earth severely affects the image quality. This paper established the foundation of synthetic aperture radar imaging model for month, according to the resolution requirements, fuzzy constraints of single-base radar system parameters for the design. Then, based on the polar coordinate format algorithm, a self-focusing imaging algorithm is proposed to realize the motion compensation in the process of Earth-moon imaging. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified by simulation, which provides technical support for future experimental verification.
