Comprehensive Sizing of Integrated Wind Solar Storage System with Various Industrial Loads
The integrated wind, solar and storage system can fully match source and load resources through comprehensive configuration of system capacity, promoting the local consumption of renewable energy and reducing the construction costs. As an independent grid-connected system, the operation of IWSS system needs to meet the requirements of upstream grid. For this consideration, a novel optimal sizing model of integrated wind solar storage system with various industrial loads is proposed in this paper considering the operational boundary required by power grids. Requirements of the upstream grid for local consumption of renewable energy generations are set as constraints of the optimal sizing problem of battery energy storage system to maximize the utilization of storage with the least construction cost. In addition, in order to meet various application scenarios, the model considers the impact of different load characteristics on the storage sizing results. The effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed model is verified through a simulation on real 10-bus 110kV urban radial network.
