Topology Identification Method for Low-Voltage Distribution Network Based on Minimized Collection of Load Characteristics
Accurate identification of low-voltage distribution network topology is critical for efficient power supply management, power outage location, line loss calculation, and ensuring the reliability of the power grid. Traditional methods of the topology identification of the distribution network rely either on additional hardware equipment to inject signals or on complex measuring equipment deployed all over the distribution network. In this paper, a low-voltage distribution network topology identification method based on minimized collection of load characteristics is proposed. First, the linear regression equation between the node voltages of the three-phase four-wire substation is derived. Then, the substation topology structure is restored from the end node upward according to the node impedance matrix. Finally, the test analysis was carried out in the actual low-voltage distribution network in a certain area of Ezhou City, China, which proved the effectiveness of the proposed identification algorithm.
