Performance Evaluation of Error Optimization Algorithms for Soft-Input LDPC Decoder with Adaptive Equalization

This study evaluates adaptive equalization's impact on LDPC-based coherent-PONs, focusing on error-propagation mitigation strategies like state-tracking-and-demapping (StateTD) and error-decorrelation (ED) algorithms. Results show FFE-ED improves post-FEC BER by 0.5 dB at BER of 1E-5.
