Shape Sensing of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer Wing Structure with Pre-Weaved Fiber Bragg Grating Sensors
A shape sensing method of wing structure is demonstrated. The wing structure is made of carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP), where fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors have been pre-weaved. Ko displacement equation is applied to calculate the displacement of the wing structure through the strain distribution obtained by FBG sensors. And a deformation display interface has been developed. Thus, a fundamental method for further structural health monitoring research has been provided.
