Fiber Channel Skew Study for Multi-Fiber SDM

The fiber skew within a 2 km 12-fiber cable is experimentally measured, providing reference values for multi-fiber system design. A model for the fiber skew across extended link distances is developed, and the resource requirement of DSP buffer for multi-fiber-super-channel is discussed.

Abstract

The fiber skew within a 2 km 12-fiber cable is experimentally measured, providing reference values for multi-fiber system design. A model for the fiber skew across extended link distances is developed, and the resource requirement of DSP buffer for multi-fiber-super-channel is discussed.
