Design of a Fractal-Based Ultra-Wideband Antenna
To address the limitations of traditional antennas in multi-frequency broadband applications, such as restricted bandwidth and large size, this study proposes a novel ultrawideband antenna design based on a third-order hexagonal fractal structure. By employing sophisticated principles of fractal geometry, this design achieves a working bandwidth from 2.37 GHz to 10.7 GHz with a relative bandwidth of 127.4%, significantly surpassing existing technologies. Incorporating Koch fractal concepts to optimize the traditional hexagonal fractal structure, the antenna excels in the S, C, and X bands, offering broader frequency response and enhanced design flexibility. Simulation results validate the performance of this antenna design, demonstrating its potential applications in modern communication systems. Future research will focus on further enhancing the antenna's radiation efficiency and optimizing its radiation pattern.
