An Ultrawideband High-Efficiency Rectifier for Wireless Energy Harvesting
In this paper, a novel rectifier based on voltage multiplier is proposed to operate within ultrawide bandwidth. The ultrawideband rectifier is composed of a voltage multiplier and simple matching network. The matching network is divided into two parts: a section of microstrip radial stub (MRStub ) and a two-section transformer. The MRStub stabilizes the input reactance of sub-rectifier close to zero over an ultrawideband frequency range, and the two-section transformer further tunes the impedance to 50 Ω. The simulated results show that the rectifier can maintain high efficiency over 50% within the frequency range of 0.1 to 6.4 GHz at 20 dBm input power, and the dimension is 29.4mm ×16.5mm, indicating that the proposed structure has the advantages of compact size, ultrawide bandwidth, and high efficiency.
