A Sustainable Power Supply Method for a Photovoltaic-Storage Substation System
As China pursues its carbon goals, integrating renewable energy sources like wind and solar is essential for a greener energy future. Distributed systems, such as solar PV and small wind turbines, offer local power solutions and reduce dependence on centralized grids. Current methods use UPS for backup power, but extreme weather can disrupt power reliability. Emerging solutions include standalone battery storage and solar PV, but direct connections often lead to inefficiencies and inadequate power supply. This paper proposes a sustainable power supply method that dynamically adjust solar power generation, energy storage, and load demand to ensure efficient use of renewable energy under all conditions, thereby enhancing the overall performance of the system. The effectiveness of the proposed method has been tested by PSCAD simulation tool.
