Parallel Optical Binary Convolution Processor Based on Arrayed Waveguide Grating and Multidimensional Multiplexing
In this paper, we propose a parallel optical binary convolution (POBC) processor based on arrayed waveguide gratings, which combines multi-dimensional multiplexing technology in the digital and optical domain. Simulation results show that the POBC processor can perform parallel convolution processing on two channels of MNIST images. Its root mean square error (RMSE) is less than 0.2 under different optical signal-to-noise ratios. The highly parallel processing capability of POBC processor has high potential for next-generation data computing.
