A Secure Communication Scheme Based on ECC and PUF
An authentication scheme with authentication devices at its core is proposed, based on the vast number of nodes in the wireless sensor network but constrained storage, computation, and communication resources. Pre-storing any data is nearly never necessary for edge nodes. The central node will guide the nodes on extracting their fingerprint data for authentication and assigning temporary keys. This paper's technique greatly minimizes the network access authorization procedure while maintaining security, considering that the communication distance between nodes and authenticating nodes is limited and necessitates exploiting other nodes' communication overhead.
