Research on the Green Development Path of Urban Transportation: A Case Study of mega city A in northern china

Reducing greenhouse gas emissions is a key measure to address global climate change, and the transportation sector is a key area for reducing pollution and carbon emissions. Taking the city A in northern China as an example, Considering the uncertainty of energy consumption and carbon emissions brought about by urban economy, population development, transportation modes, and vehicle energy technology, this article regards energy economy environment as a system and adopts a systematic analysis method to construct a dynamic model of urban development and urban transportation energy consumption system. Set different scenario modes for quantitative analysis and select the optimal transportation technology path that can achieve the city A's carbon neutrality goal. The results show that the development of energy-saving technologies in automobiles has significantly improved energy efficiency, with a greater impact on road traffic dominated by fossil fuels, effectively reducing total energy consumption, and having a smaller impact on rail transit dominated by electricity consumption; With the trend of replacing gasoline with electricity in future road traffic, the proportion of gasoline consumption will significantly decrease, while electricity consumption will grow rapidly, reaching 8% of the city A's total electricity consumption by 2030; With the increasing demand for hydrogen brought about by the promotion of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, the ability to produce hydrogen energy will become a constraint on the development of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles; From the perspective of carbon reduction, promoting pure electric vehicles and developing energy-saving technologies for automobiles are both beneficial measures. Specifically, the majority of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in the city A currently use grey hydrogen, and if all are replaced with green hydrogen, the carbon reduction rate can be further reduced.
