10 Gbps Quantum Random Number Generator Based on Direct Detection and Vacuum Fluctuations

We report a quantum random number generator scheme that significantly reduces the number of optical components, by detecting vacuum fluctuations with a photodiode, where 10.1 Gbps generation rate is achieved with standard telecommunication devices.
