A Design for an IEC61850 Digital Simulation Environment

IEC61850 standard is the most authoritative global general standard in the field of power system automation. This article presents a digital simulation environment of IEC61850, which can provide a visual interface for testing and verifying the functions and communications of IEC61850 server and client. This digital simulation environment includes the MMS module, the GOOSE module, the SV module, and the model verification module. The practical results show that this system will greatly improve the research and development and testing efficiency of relay protection and measurement and control devices, shorten the development cycle, reduce the human resource cost of development, and increase the product competitiveness.
