Enhancing Urban Subway Safety System: An Iot-Based Floodwater Management System

In metropolitan cities, managing flood water inside the subway during the rainy season creates many problems for the public to travel through the subway. The heavy rainy season in metropolitan cities may create heavy traffic during peak hours. Which leads to blocking the subway. A solution proposed to solve this problem is to remove flood water inside the subway by automatically using the sensors to detect stagnant water inside the subway and automatically draining through the motor, which directly lets the water into stormwater drainage. This system would also alert the public to any potential issues with the subway before they board. The system would provide a sign of the condition of the subway to passengers before boarding, which would help reduce the risk of any potential health issues related to stagnant water. Additionally, we will also discuss the potential for utilizing predictive analytics to anticipate future needs for maintenance and repair.
