Demonstration Effect Evaluation Model and Empirical Study of New Power System Demonstration Zone
Accelerating the construction of new power system demonstration zone (NPSDZ) is a crucial step toward fostering the development of power systems and low-carbon energy infrastructures. This paper explores the demonstration effect of such zone, providing valuable insights for future planning and expansion. We first define the core essence of new power system demonstration zone and review their current state and fundamental characteristics. Utilizing the Location Quotient model and the Breaking point model, we empirically analyze the industrial cluster effect and industrial spillover effect within Guangdong Province’s new power system demonstration zone. Our findings indicate that significant advancements have been made in the establishment of these zones across major cities in Guangdong Province, with a noticeable industrial cluster effect emerging for the new power system. Moreover, the radiating impact, centered on Guangzhou and Shenzhen, transcends their respective administrative boundaries. Based on these conclusions, recommendations are offered to enhance the industrial cluster and spillover effects of the new power system demonstration zone.
