Research on Functional Characteristics of Pumped Storage in the New Power System of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region
In the context of the new power system with high penetration of renewable energy, pumped storage as a traditional energy storage method plays an increasingly critical role on regulating power systems. In view of pumped storage lacking scientific guidance and unified dispatch, the functional characteristics in enhancing system flexibility and facilitating renewable energy integration were deeply explored based on system requirements. Using the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei (BTH) regional grid as a typical case, this paper analyzes grid supply-demand balance, peak regulation needs, and the dynamic role of pumped storage, providing theoretical support and practical guidance for the scientific application and optimizing dispatch of pumped storage in the new power system.
