Optimization Method for Primary Frequency Regulation Parameters of the Sending-End System Based on Sensitivity Analysis
As renewable energy continues to be integrated and ultra-high-voltage AC/DC interconnected networks are established, leveraging the frequency regulation potential of renewable sources has become a vital approach for improving the system's transient stability. This paper employs trajectory sensitivity analysis to identify and summarize the key parameters that influence maximum frequency deviation. Subsequently, it fine-tunes these key parameters to ensure the system maintains sufficient primary frequency regulation capacity. By examining the connections between frequency deviation, frequency deadband, primary frequency regulation coefficient, and the power capacities of different units, feasible limits are determined to prevent the units' active power output from exceeding constraints. A parameter optimization model, which incorporates capacity restrictions, is developed to find the ideal primary frequency regulation coefficient for renewable energy. Finally, the proposed method's effectiveness is confirmed through simulation case studies.
