Adaptive Model Reduction for Hybrid Simulation with EMT and Dynamic Stability Analysis
This paper summaries the development and testing of a comprehensive adaptive model reduction for hybrid simulation with EMT and dynamic simulation for large-scale AC/DC hybrid grids. We refined hybrid simulation interface technology by enhancing EMT to improve the accuracy of hybrid simulations, especially during switching operations. Additionally, we developed a midterm to long-term dynamic simulation framework by investigating technical implementation methods. We created a fully dynamic simulation framework for large-scale AC/DC hybrid systems, enabling seamless switching among simulation technologies across various time scales from electromagnetic process, electromechanical transient, to midterm-long-term process. This full dynamic simulation technology was tested on a real Power Grid.
