A Distributed Costas Encoded Jamming Signal for the Uplink of Satellite Communication
The satellite communication systems are widely used nowadays, which cause potential military threat in the countermeasure field. A distributed Costas encoded jamming signal is proposed to effectively encounter the uplink of satellite communication in this manuscript. The received communication signal of one jammer is pulse sliced and frequency shifted according to the Costas sequence to generate a coherent jamming signal, which is the Costas encoded signal. With an optimal distribution of the Costas sequences for multiple jammers, the distributed Costas encoded signals are generated, which produce the maximum number of false peaks in the enemy satellite receiver. The jamming performances of the proposed distributed Costas encoded jamming signals are given in the simulations, which indicate the effectiveness of the proposed jamming signal.
