A Multi-chromosome Genetic Algorithm for Core Direction Allocation in Optical Networks with Bidirectional Multicore Fiber
We propose a multi-chromosome genetic algorithm for fiber core direction allocation in optical network with bidirectional multicore fiber (BMCF) for asymmetric traffic. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study in fiber core direction allocation, aiming to reduce direction reversal-introduced cost. Simulation results show that it reduces the number of core direction changes.
