Phase-noise Tolerable Microwave Photonics Link with Large SFDR

We experimentally validate a microwave photonic link utilizing dual-drive Mach-Zehnder modulator (DD-MZM) and self-coherent detection, achieving an exceptional spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) exceeding 100 dB. Hz2/3, without optical phase-locked loop and ultra-narrow linewidth lasers.

Abstract

We experimentally validate a microwave photonic link utilizing dual-drive Mach-Zehnder modulator (DD-MZM) and self-coherent detection, achieving an exceptional spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) exceeding 100 dB. Hz2/3, without optical phase-locked loop and ultra-narrow linewidth lasers.
