Hybrid Pulse Amplitude Modulated Optical OTFS Scheme for Visible Light Communication
In visible light communication (VLC), the spectrum-efficient layered asymmetrically clipped optical OTFS (LACO-OTFS) scheme suffers from high receiver complexity. To address this issue, we propose a novel hybrid pulse amplitude modulated optical orthogonal time frequency space (HPAM-OTFS) scheme, which achieves the same spectrum efficiency as LACO-OTFS with significantly lower receiver complexity. Simulation results indicate that the proposed scheme exhibits superior peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) performance compared to LACO-OTFS, thereby enhancing its ability to resist nonlinear distortion. Additionally, HPAM-OTFS demonstrates higher power efficiency than conventional optical OTFS schemes, making it more suitable for power-constrained scenarios.
