Anti-Jamming Technique of Multi-Beam LOFAR Spectrum Estimation Based on Spatial Deconvolution

The detection and identification of underwater acoustic targets based on multi-beam Low-Frequency Analysis Record (LOFAR) spectral information provide a vital important strategy for the efficient surveillance of weak underwater targets. However, this strategy is facing the issue that the interference suppression capability of adaptive beamforming methods in practical strong interference environments is susceptible to array geometry mismatches. To address this issue, we propose an anti-interference technique for multi-beam LOFAR spectrum estimation based on spatial domain deconvolution. This technique, built upon conventional beamforming, employs the Richardson-Lucy (R-L) algorithm for spatial deconvolution, thereby eliminating blurs in signal spatial distribution caused by uncertainties in array configuration. Therefore, this technique ensures a substantial spatio-temporal processing gain with full exploitation of target spectral features, concurrently exhibiting a robust resistance to interference. In order to validate the effectiveness of the proposed method under conditions of array misalignment, we conduct a comprehensive simulation study, which confirms the technique's effectiveness in mitigating performance degradation caused by array imperfections. We believe this research provides strong technical support to underwater monitoring and defense systems.
