Region Partition Method Based on Inertia Correlation Gain and Inertia Distribution Calculation of Regional Power Grid

With the large-scale integration of renewable energy and the widespread application of power electronic devices, the inertia level of modern power systems is gradually decreasing, posing new challenges to the stability of system frequency. Inertia assessment is fundamental to achieving effective low-inertia risk perception and control in power systems. This paper proposes a system region partitioning and inertia distribution calculation method based on inertia correlation gain, aiming to accurately quantify and describe the spatial distribution characteristics of inertia in power systems. A generalized admittance matrix is established and combined with the Floyd shortest path algorithm to calculate the electrical distance between any two nodes in the system. Additionally, a generator inertia correlation gain matrix is constructed to enable fine-grained partitioning and inertia distribution analysis of the power system. Finally, simulations show that this method can effectively optimize the dynamic response of the system and improve the frequency stability and operational efficiency of the power system.
