Monolithic Integration of a Tunable Laser and a Grating Antenna with Large Steering Angle on InP Substrate

We present a monolithically integrated widely tunable laser with a surface emission grating antenna on InP substrate. It exhibits a large steering angle exceeding 9.6° and an angular resolution better than 0.05°.
