Design and Application of Status Data Monitoring System for Capacitive Voltage Transformer

Capacitive Voltage Transformer (CVT) traditional status data monitoring systems are costly, single-function and poorly compatible, and third-party systems are used in an unfocused and inefficient manner. To address the existing problems of incomplete data and weak early warning capability, this paper designs a new monitoring system that incorporates environmental parameters and grid fluctuations as reference variables into the measurement range, thus achieving a comprehensive assessment of the operating status of the CVT and further providing more accurate early warning results. The system software consists of two parts, the client and the server, and establishes a communication link based on File Transfer Protocol (FTP), thus overcoming the limitations of fixed-point monitoring. Also, the system is able to display real-time data based on the principle of communication protocol parsing, curve fitting based on visualization technology, and intuitively analyze real-time data and provide early warning alarms on fault data through evaluation algorithms. The actual test results show that the communication connection is stable and reliable, and the data analysis and waveform analysis are accurate and smooth, which has engineering application value.
