Power Control Strategy for Bidirectional Interlinking Converter in Islanded Hybrid AC/DC Microgrid
In the hybrid AC/DC microgrid with the islanded operation, reasonably controlling the bidirectional interlinking converter (BIC) is the key to realizing mutual power sharing between AC and DC subgrids. Aiming at the problem of frequent switching of BIC operating modes due to small range fluctuation of system power and frequent start-stop due to adding threshold value when real-time eigenvalue is used as the basis of BIC control, an improved power control strategy is proposed, which eliminates the compensation of real-time eigenvalue and adds the threshold as the basis of start-stop judgment, so as to enhance the stability of the system. Meanwhile, different reference values are adopted for various operating conditions of the system to avoid the occurrence of the subgrid deviating from the rated operating conditions due to the different degrees of light and heavy loads between AC and DC subgrids and the mutual aid of power. Finally, the simulation verifies that the strategy can effectively reduce the power loss and achieve smooth operation of the system.
