Integrated Computational Spectrometer Based on a Thermally Reconfigurable Self-Coupled Waveguide System

We developed a silicon computational spectrometer with a thermally reconfigurable self-coupled waveguide, achieving better than 0.1 nm resolution over a 75 nm bandwidth in a footprint smaller than <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf{0.02\ mm^{2}}$</tex>, using a single output channel.

Abstract

We developed a silicon computational spectrometer with a thermally reconfigurable self-coupled waveguide, achieving better than 0.1 nm resolution over a 75 nm bandwidth in a footprint smaller than <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf{0.02\ mm^{2}}$</tex>, using a single output channel.
