Backward Rayleigh-Brillouin Scattering in an SF6-Flowing Antiresonant Hollow-Core Fiber

We report distributed measurement of backward Rayleigh-Brillouin scattering spectra in a 2.3-km SF6-flowing antiresonant hollow-core fiber using BOTDR method. The gas species and pressure are clearly distinguished. The onset of stimulated Brillouin scattering is observed.

Abstract

We report distributed measurement of backward Rayleigh-Brillouin scattering spectra in a 2.3-km SF6-flowing antiresonant hollow-core fiber using BOTDR method. The gas species and pressure are clearly distinguished. The onset of stimulated Brillouin scattering is observed.
